Emerson School was visited by Dandenong MP, Gabrielle Williams on Novemeber 20, who had some exciting news for all involved.
The state government is contributing $14 million to fund stage one of the Heatherton Road Campus which will include a new administration building, library, cafeteria and new learning spaces in a much-needed upgrade. The first major works done since the school opened in 1973.
“There’s been a vision for the future that we’ve always had, now we can make this a reality” principal John Mooney said.
Building for stage one is hopeful to start mid-2021, with stage two planning well underway where we are already raising funds to build a state-of-the-art gymnasium to replicate the gym we have at our Middle Campus. This along with lobbying for traffic lights out the front of the school, it is a very busy and exciting time here at Emerson School.
